I'm having a hard time because I'm a die hard Mets fan but you've done a fabulous job with your house and garden. Did you do all the work yourself?
Yes, my husband and I did all of the work ourselves. It took quite a while, but it was well worth it.
I would suggest the level of the dirt in your raised flower beds is too high. The dirt covers the bottom edge of your home's outside wall; which will allow termites to have their way with the wood and you will never know it. If you ever want to sell your home, the inspector will ask that you remove the dirt covering the bottom edge of the exterior walls.
Marylou thanks for the suggestion for Cindy and Scott. This can help many people with their landscaping.
Marylou, the level of the dirt here doesn't go above the foundation walls although it appears in a few pictures, its over porch crawlspace. I definitely do agree about not building it up too high though!
