Say goodbye to your dated & rusty radiators with NeatHeat!

Baseboards using NeatHeat
When inquiring about the status of a project that I've requested my husband to tackle, it's not often that I find myself uttering "Whaaat...? You're done already? I take that back. I have never said that before. Because it has never happened. Until now. Until NeatHeat came into my life. Within an hour of these beauties arriving on my doorstep they were installed and looking sharp and sophisticated in all three of my bathrooms. Yep. We're talking radiators today. It's March and we're tackling every last project we can before the baby arrives in May! Not to mention the start of gardening season. Our bathroom radiators? Whoa. What an eyesore. We remodeled two out of our three bathrooms and the very last task on the list was those hideous radiators. We didn't know how to deal with them. They were ugly. Rusted. Pathetic. The cost of replacing metal radiators? It would be cheaper to sell our house and move. So Tom started googling and found NeatHeat. The below/after photo's will blow your mind. NeatHeat solved our ugly radiator problem without spending a mint. They can solve yours too! This is how.

What is NeatHeat?

NeatHeat is a baseboard reconditioning system that snaps over your existing radiators for instant gratification and beautification!! It takes literally minutes to install and will not rust, dent or chip. Not only is it super easy to clean (I like using a Magic Eraser) but it gives your bathroom or any room in your home a modern and chic appearance. Like I said in the intro, but it's bears worth repeating, I can't believe how easy this product is to install. Wow.

You don't need any tools. And since NeatHeat just goes right over your current radiators, you're not dealing with demolition. It doesn't affect the heat coming out of your radiators in any way, it just makes your baseboards sparkle and gleam! And before I forget, you can paint them if you wish. But the white looks so clean, crisp and fresh, why would you?

Very rusting metal radiator
Aren't these radiators....um....special? It just shows you that neither duck tape nor Rust-Oleum can solve all your problems. We weren't going to get nominated for bathroom of the year with these baseboards!

Why NeatHeat?

Tom and I got a serious case of sticker shock when we priced out what it would cost to replace our extremely rusty bathroom radiators. Since we have 2.5 bathrooms in this house, that's a lotta radiator!

We have tried Rust-Oleum to no avail. It covered up the problem but only to a small degree. The rust and blotches still had shown through even though we went with the dark brown color. Not too attractive. Sure, we tried the white Rust-Oleum as well but it was no match for our radiators.

Before & After Shots!

Bathroom #1 - before

They say a picture is worth a thousand words so I won't say anything more about this before shot. Okay, just one comment. New white subway tile with new flooring and new light gray toilet do not look nice next to icky radiator.

After with NeatHeat

Rusty radiator after NeatHeat cover
NeatHeat saved this bathroom. This is our main family bathroom that we completely gutted. New tub. New toilet. New cabinet. New mirrors. New tile floor. New tile backsplash. New sinks. Ut-oh. Same old, ugly, dated and rusted radiator. It stuck out like a sore thumb. Such a shame because that hideous radiator detracted from all our hard work in remodeling this bathroom.

Thank you NeatHeat!

Bathroom #2 - before

Rusty radiator in bathroom
This is the brown Rust-Oleum I was talking about. It's better than nothing, but still looks rather horrendous. We priced out even replacing small amounts of our radiators and it was totally out of budget.

In this tiny half bath, you notice everything. There was no place for this radiator to hide. It's right in front of you. To make it worse, this is our only downstairs bathroom so besides putting an "out of order" sign on the door, we had to let visitors use it. The walls are now white, and the toilet is white as is most of the marble floor. NeatHeat glammed up our radiator and made it match the rest of our now pleasant bathroom.

Bathroom #3 - before

Ugly and rusty bathroom radiator
This is our upstairs bathroom in the bedroom. The one that never gets seen. And here it is making its debut. While we replaced the olive green toilet with a white one, we left the sink. Sorry that it's not in the photo, try not to be too disappointed. It's a 60's bathroom for sure. How I hated stubbing my toe on the metal radiator. And those end caps never stayed on either come to think of it! Kept falling off, bleh.

After with NeatHeat

This bathroom is far from perfect. But what a huge improvement. You already got an eyeful earlier in the post of a super close up of this radiator. What a rust magnet!

One final thought....

When visitors enter my home, the first thing they see is this bathroom if they look upstairs. Those radiators before NeatHeat? Yikes. Embarrassing. And look at them now!! So happy.
Disclaimer

We were not paid by the NeatHeat company to write this post but we were given enough NeatHeat product to complete all three projects shown in this post.

What do you think of our radiator makeover? Would you try this product?

That looks so much better. We rented a home years ago that had radiators like that, I sanded and painted them and they looked just as bad in a month. This looks like a great solution.

Thanks so much Melissa! We did the exact same thing, sanded and sanded then painted and there wasn't much improvement for all our efforts!!

These are great! We have radiators in every room of our house so I like the idea of upgrading them a little!
