Don't have a mantel?
What to do? We installed a stunning rustic barnyard floating shelf to display our prickly pear stocking holder on.
I can't lie. It looks marvelous! Just as tasteful and delightful as if we did have a mantel.
Other places to consider displaying this lovely prickly pear showstopper is your buffet or sideboard table.
Come to think of it, how about on top of your China cabinet? Or even your console table that greets visitors when they first arrive?
As luck would have it, we inherited my aunt's green couch. It's a southwest green if you know what I mean. So I was inspired to transform the whole room with a southwest vibe.
In Western New York? Why not? You don't need to live in Arizona to display cacti sculptures in your home!
Hooked on these stocking hanger hooks!
Maybe that won't work for the Duggar family, but for most of us it will suffice.
You have enough hooks for the pets, even! So everyone gets a stocking this year.
Our stockings tend to get heavy. There's a lot of sponge candy in there.
Not to mention the oranges because you gotta have at least one orange of the bottom of the stocking....right? Tradition!
And you hardly notice the hooks if you know what I mean.
The hooks don't detract in any way from the sculpture making this piece a focal point that can be kept up on display year-round.
Why we LOVE Desert Steel more than ever this Christmas season!
Tom "Everything from Desert Steel is quality, they don't sell anything junky at all. High-end all the way.
Me "Yep, that's why I love partnering with them. It's nice to know that whatever you get from them to review will be gorgeous and function equally well.
So I never have to worry about having to write about an item I don't like.
Trust me, folks, I DO fret. And I'm obsessed with Desert Steel products...that makes the writing just flow.
There are no cons!
To say that their products are handcrafted with incredible detail is the understatement of the year. Their flowers resemble "real" flowers down to the last petal.
Pumpkins and gourds down to the last stem. Cacti down to the last little pricker and flower. Their trees and agaves....mind-blowing in their detail.
The metal these sculptures, torches, bird feeders are molded from is thick and sturdy.
Not being flimsy, they don't topple with high gusts of wind, snow or rain if displayed outdoors. Come to think of it, the precipitation doesn't rust them either. Big plus!
Final thoughts on the Desert Steel mantel sculpture stocking holder
But I was fretting. Big time. I wasn't quite loosing sleep over it....yet...but it was bothering me.
That all changed the day this prickly pear mantel sculpture showed up on my front porch. Phew. Problem solved.
Yes, I know that you could hang stockings on the stairwell. Or by the tree. Or another random place. But it's not quite the same. Can you see how seriously I take stocking holding?
But unlike my other Christmas decorations what will come down in January...okay more like March when the tree truly is 100% dead this mantel sculpture beauty can and will stay out year-round. No need to store it!
