Yet the first time I saw the #713 Red Revolution by Liberty Garden Products~ it became my fav.
Since the bottom half of my house is a multi-colored red brick, the Red Revolution looks smashing mounted to the wall. It blends with the red brick yet manages to pops, too.
When could a hose reel become such a focal point? The Red Revolution added glamorous curb appeal.
But a white house with a red hose reel would look equally gorgeous. In fact, I can't imagine any house or dwelling that wouldn't look more chic and sophisticated with the Red Revolution.
Don't even get me started on how great the Red Revolution would look on your Lake House or Cottage.

Red to revitalize you!
But I like eye-popping bold color. And if you are still reading this post, I bet you agree!
From Memorial Day to the fourth of July to Labor Day, it's sweet to have glints of red, white and blue punctuating your home and garden.
So the Red Revolution is as American as baseball; a real slam-dunk winner. Red for the win.
The shade is just perfect, the hue of red that you will enjoy for a lifetime. That's not always the case with red! Some shades are too dark like ketchup, or too pinky for my taste.
Now the Red Revolution was installed by Tom about two years ago and it still looks as great as the day it was put up.
No signs of rust or wear or tear on this metal hose reel! Although it is mostly protected under my tiny front porch. But still, water and snow do hit it and it gets left outside all winter.
Better still...the #713 Red Revolution functions as well as the day it was installed. And that's a big deal! No one has time to replace hose reels each year so you want to get many years usage out of one.
Time is money! Not to mention the cost of replacing subpar hose reels.

Rotation for the win!
It's attached to the front of my house and I use it to water all my front pots and window boxes. Don't even ask how many pots I have because you don't want to know!
My favorite part is the swivel action by far. It easily rotates where I need it to be.
Confession time: I'm impatient when watering. My expectations for hose reels are high. I don't have time to putz and fuss.
Don't underestimate the power of the 24 locking positions. You lift a black lever and can adjust the angle of the hose to slant exactly where you want it. And it doesn't budge. Not a bit.
Just an incredible mechanism! I love this feature because it allows me to lock in at the precise angle I want to water. And with a 150' 5/8 hose capacity, all my plants can be reached.
If I'm watering the blueberries, I adjust to the left by pulling up the lever, using the handle to slide left and lock in. But if I'm watering the side pots on the porch, I lift and lock it to the right. Great 360 degree design!
The grippy handle is nifty, too. It kind of feels like a stress ball! And if you find yourself watering several times a day, then you are winding and unwinding the hose with this handle a lot.
So a handle that is comfy to use in your hand when cranking is vital.
Final thoughts to inspire you!
Because if you could, you'd likely agree that the Red Revolution injects hose reel curb appeal like none other.
That's why Tom and I decided to mount it to the front of our home instead of letting it hide in the back unseen. Except for the few who get to come over for backyard BBQs!
But I take back what I said about you driving by my house. Because then you'd see the 10 pairs of gardening gloves and 5 garden trowels stuffed on the top. You might even think I'm messy!
That shelf on top is serious though. Serious storage. Seriously sturdy.
I love the shelf because it's so convenient since the Red Revolution is right outside my front door.
So out I go and I grab one of those trowels and a pair of gloves to work in my garden. Then I put them back on the shelf, turn on the hose and water away.
But it's the quality of the Red Revolution that is paramount. The #713 is a super high-quality hose mount that does not disappoint, neither in looks or function.
Life is good with the Red Revolution! Fingers crossed you win!
